CIM: ‘Marketers’ confidence at 12-month high’

Marketers’ confidence in the performance and prospects for their business is five times higher than 12 months ago as improvements in the wider economy fuel optimism but doubts remain over their ability to influence colleagues, according to a report by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

The term ‘native advertising’ is one that’s fast becoming one of the de-rigueur marketing phrases of 2013, as brands seek ever-more sophisticated ways of penetrating the psyche of audiences in the UK, where many people claim to be resistant to all forms of advertising – at least on a conscious level.
