It’s the final year of Doritos’ ‘Crash the SuperBowl’ campaign

Dorito’s has been running its consumer-generated ad content ‘Crash the Super Bowl’ campaign for 10 years but is bowing out this year with three final spots that are all in with a chance of appearing during the event.

Usually there are five finalists but Doritos has gone for just three this year. Jeff Klein, VP of marketing at Doritos owner Frito-Lay, explains: “It’s the chance to laser-focus the spotlight on the very best of the best and ensures all of our finalists walk away with truly life-changing opportunities.

The winner gets £1m as well as the opportunity to work with Batman v Superman movie director Zack Snyder. The two runner-ups get £100,000 plus the chance to work creatively with the Doritos brand in future.

The finalists include ‘Ultrasound’ by Peter Carstairs from Australia (at the top of the page), ‘Doritos Dogs’ (above) by Peter Chase and ‘Swipe for Doritos’ (below) by David Rudy, both from the US.
