iTunes to sell Premier League match highlights

Classic Premier League matches will be made available on iTunes for the first time following a deal between Apple, IMG Sports Media and the Premier League Archive.

The UK deal will let users download highlights from around 50 matches from the 2002/03 to 2006/07 seasons, including the 2005/06 derby between Manchester City and Manchester United.

Hour-long Goal of the Season and Review of the Season programmes are also available, with further Premier League content coming in the near future.

Individual clips cost £1.49, with a entire season costing £9.99.

Richard Wise, senior VP at IMG Media Programme Sales, said, “Barclays Premier League is arguably the greatest football league in the world and now the best in English football programming can be downloaded to own.”
