Iveco signs up to sponsor All Blacks
Iveco, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has signed a four-year international sponsorship deal with New Zealand Rugby Union team the All Blacks.
As an official sponsor Iveco will have global rights to associate with the All Blacks brand alongside naming rights for the upcoming Test Series in June, which will now be called the Iveco International Series.
Iveco chief executive Paolo Monferino says the tie-up will enable the company to align its latest-generation engines with the “power” behind the All Blacks brand.
The rugby team already has deals with brands including Adidas, which is its principal sponsor, Coca-Cola, Ford and MasterCard.
Iveco has previously supported major sporting events such as the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin and teams such as the Ferrari Formula One team.
The deal will run until the end of 2010.
