Japanese electronics company appoints UK marketing chief…
Japanese electronic goods manufacturer Funai has appointed Nobuyuki Azuma as UK sales and marketing director.
Azuma will be responsible for the company’s UK operations and report directly to Takashi Miyamoto, managing director of Funai Europe. Azuma will be tasked with raising Funai’s profile in the UK and establishing the company within the consumer market.
Azuma joined Funai Japan in December 2003, having previously worked at DX Antenna in Japan, a subsidiary of Funai Japan, for 15 years.
Funai was founded in 1961 and produces audio and visual equipment. It opened its UK office in 2005 and last year decided to market a range of products under the Funai brand in the UK. It manufactures digital camera equipment for the Kodak brand, as well as manufacturing own-branded products such as DVD players, televisions and printing products.
