Jazz FM appoints Unanimis for online

Jazz FM, the digital radio station, has appointed digital sales house Unanimis to handle its online advertising. It will also further sponsorship deals and seek to develop new partnerships.

The radio station, which relaunched in October, is already working with First Radio Sales, which is handling national airtime sales. Unanimis will handle all online advertising as well providing support in online integrated campaigns.

Tim Nice, launch director of Jazz FM, says the agency will help to attract advertisers that want to reach the station’s “desirable” audience.

Jazz FM is available online, on digital audio broadcasting, and through Sky and Freesat. It has time shifted streams that allow listeners to tune into shows at anytime.

The Jazz FM brand disappeared from radio three years ago when owners Guardian Media Group Radio rebranded its two analogue stations, in London and the North West, as Smooth FM. It has been resurrected by its former management team, led by chairman Richard Wheatly.
