JD Williams starts 10m media review

Mail order giant JD Williams is reviewing its 10m media account after parting company with Carat Manchester.

The Manchester-based company is talking to three northern agencies and expects to make a decision in the next two weeks.

Carat Manchester, which has handled elements of the business for more than five years and the consolidated account for more than two, is to continue working on the business until the end of the notice period in mid-January.

Terry Cole, managing director for Carat Manchester, says: “After a long and successful business relationship, JD Williams has decided to review its media.

“Obviously I regret the loss of such a prestigious client but wish them every success in future.”

JD Williams operates a large off-the-page business and is part of N Brown Group, which counts itself as the largest direct catalogue company in the UK.
