Jeyes hires Unilever Flora chief as marketer

Jeyes Group, the manufacturer of Parozone bleach, has appointed Unilever Bestfoods business unit director for butter and margarine Neil Kimberley as marketing director.

Kimberley replaces Stephen Bolton, who left to become Premier International Foods’ commercial director for canned foods in March.

Kimberley, who was with Unilever for 12 years, was responsible for the Flora and Olivio ranges. Last year, he was in charge of rebranding low-fat spread Delight Diet as Flora Diet.

He will be responsible for all Jeyes’ brands, including Bloo toilet cleaner and Wet Ones. He will report to managing director John Adams.

Jeyes recently announced plans to extend its Parozone brand into the out-of-home sector, with the launch of Parozone Travel Wipes, supported by a &£2m TV and press campaign through Poulter Partners (MW April 18). John Ayling handles media buying for Jeyes.

Last year, two fragrances – Citrus and Bleach Original – were added to the Parozone range to coincide with a &£2m television campaign supporting its Fizz Tabs range. The latest TV campaign for the Jeyes Fluid range features TV presenter Julian Clary.
