Toby%20Hoare%20A shake-up at JWT will see Toby Hoare, chairman of the advertising agency’s London office, taking over as its European chief.

Michael Maedel, who is currently heading up the agency’s activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will move to run the network in Asia. He has been with the agency since 1990

JWT, which is owned by WPP, confirmed the moves today.

Hoare’s main task will be to re-establish the agency in the wake of recent account loses including Persil , Axa and Lipton Ice Tea. Amongst his most notable achievements since he joined JWT in 2003 was helping to bring in the HSBC account in 2004. He is expected to keep working on that account, worth £350m.
