K-C names Warfield as general manager for UK & Ireland

Kimberly-Clark (K-C) has appointed Troy Warfield as general manager for the UK & Ireland. He joins from rival Unilever, where he was global customer development director.

Warfield takes over from John Bebbington, who is retiring after more than 30 years with the health and hygiene company. He will be responsible for the group’s UK brand, marketing and consumer management teams and will report to European head Giles Turrell.

Warfield has been with Unilever for 18 years in a range of roles across marketing, customer development and category management. More recently he was board and customer development director for its UK and Australasian businesses.

The move follows the appointment of Kellogg UK managing director Anthony Palmer as K-C’s new chief marketing officer in September who has taken over responsibility for developing the company’s global marketing strategy (MW online, September 22).

The UK is a key market for K-C and its portfolio includes Andrex, Huggies and Kleenex.
