Kate Moss launches own fragrance range
Model Kate Moss is to launch her first line of fragrances in partnership with cosmetics and beauty giant Coty.
Moss already has a longstanding contract with Reckitt Benckiser-owned Coty as the global face of its teenage cosmetics line Rimmel London.
Coty hopes to extend the universal appeal of the British-born star with plans to roll out the new range later this year across Europe, the Middle East and Australia. The company also plans to introduce the line to the US, Canada and Latin America following its initial launch.
The fragrance is designed to capture Moss’ unique fashion style and extend her global appeal
The new product line, which is yet to be named, will include an eau de toilette spray, perfume and other related products.
Coty chief executive Bernd Beetz says as a "modern beauty icon" Moss caries both clout and credibility among the global fashion set. "There is no one better to embody the new fragrance than Kate, who epitomizes the look and feel of today’s ‘fashionistas’."
Coty has a portfolio of over 40 designer and celebrity lines including Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker alongside David and Victoria Beckham.
In December last year the company extended its partnerships brokering a new global licensing deal with US singer and designer Gwen Stefani to launch a new range of branded fragrances under the Love Angel Music Baby (LAMB) brand.
