Data Storytelling Conference 2015: Navigating the expanding world of data (Kenneth Cukier)

Kenneth Cukier, Data Editor of The Economist, delivers the key note speech from the 2015 Data Storytelling Conference.

This presentation covers:

  • Multi-device, multi-channel – exploring the increasingly complex world of data in 2015
  • Surviving the big data avalanche – with access to more data than ever before, how do you draw out KPIs and identify what really matters for your business?
  • What do the latest developments in technology mean for customer journey tracking – from IOT to wearables?
  • How you can get the most out of Big Data for your business?

Kenneth Cukier is the Data Editor of The Economist. Kenn is the co-author of ‘Big Data: A Revolution That Will Transform How We Live, Work, and Think’. It is the first systematic treatment of this emerging science, which Kenn argues is a revolution on par with the internet or perhaps even the printing press.

His writings have also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Prospect, Financial Times and Foreign Affairs, among others. He has been a frequent commentator on business and technology matters for CBS, CNN, NPR, the BBC and others.

Kenneth serves on the board of directors of International Bridges to Justice, a Genevabased NGO promoting legal rights in developing countries. Additionally, he serves on the board of advisors to the Daniel Pearl Foundation.
