Ladbrokes shakes up marketing department
Ladbrokes has reshuffled its marketing team by not directly replacing its recently departed customer experience director and chief marketer Stephen Vowles, instead opting to hand leadership of its digital marketing to Israel-based partner company Playtech, but keeping traditional activity the domain of its UK team.
Vowles, who was named as as Argos’ marketing director earlier this week, will not be directly replaced, although existing board member Nick Rust has assumed overall responsibility for marketing.
Meanwhile, Adam Collett, Ladbrokes research director, and Andy May, retail marketing director, will take a more direct stewardship of the bookmaker’s branding activity with both reporting directly to Rust.
As a result of the shake-up, responsibility for Ladbrokes’ digital marketing activity will be managed by software provider Playtech – a decision taken after an internal review of its processes.
The partnership between Ladbrokes and Playtech was announced in March.
