Lastminute.com has appointed Karmarama to handle its £4m advertising account, following a five-way pitch against undisclosed agencies. It was previously handled by Farm, although it is not thought to have repitched.
The agency has a brief to create campaigns that will drive growth as the travel and leisure site faces increased competition. It will also move the website into its next phase.
The website had worked with the incumbent Farm Communications for two years before calling for a review in July. Lastminute.com handed its media planning and buying business to Manning Gottlieb OMD last year (MW October 4), while Tequila won its DM account in April.
