LE is dominant London supplier

In your news digest column (MW June 24), you made reference to Seeboard Energy as “the London electricity provider”.

I would like to point out that it is London Electricity which has been meeting the needs of customers in London for over 100 years. And despite the onset of competition in the energy market, it is beating all targets for customer retention, continuing to serve the vast majority of customers in London, not only with electricity, but with gas as well.

While there are no published figures, I would guess that Seeboard Energy has less than a 0.5 per cent share of the London electricity market.London Electricity is, and always will be, the first choice energy provider for London customers, and progressively those of the whole country.
