Leeds & Holbeck Building Society picks marketing chief

Leeds & Holbeck Building Society has appointed Tony Burdin as head of marketing and PR. Burdin has been at the building society since 1988, when he joined as a branch manager.

Leeds & Holbeck Building Society has appointed Tony Burdin as head of marketing and PR.

Burdin has been at the building society since 1988, when he joined as a branch manager.

In 1997, Burdin was promoted to head of field operations with responsibility for Leeds & Holbeck’s 61 branches across the UK.

He will now oversee the ten-strong marketing department and report to operations director Chris Radford.

Radford says: “Burdin has the qualifications, drive and enthusiasm to take our expanding marketing team forward. We will communicate to our members the benefits of belonging to a mutual independent building society.”

Burdin has appointed Emma Yeadon as customer information analyst, with responsibility for managing the customer database.

Leeds & Holbeck is the UK’s ninth largest building society, with 500,000 members and assets over &£3.5bn.

The building society recently launched a new Mini Equity Unit Trust ISA.
