Leith scoops Standard Life Investments

Standard Life has appointed The Leith Agency to handle advertising for the launch of its new investment operation Standard Life Investments.

The Leith won the business following a pitch against through-the-line agency Camp Chipperfield Hill Murray.

The Leith, which pitched under the name the Silvermills Group with its direct arm One-to-One Direct Communications and its design agency EH6 Design, already handles Standard Life’s 10m corporate advertising account (MW December 18 1997). The Edinburgh-based financial services giant is to spend 30m on branding work over the next three years.

The Standard Life Investments brand will be launched with a separate logo and brand identity later this year. There will be an initial spend of at least 1m on press and poster advertising.

Standard Life advertising and sponsorship manager Pam Hyder says equal priority will be given to the retail and institutional sectors.
