Levi’s appoints first global CMO

Levi Strauss & Co has appointed Kodak Eastman’s chief operating officer, Jaime Cohen Szulc as the first global chief marketing officer for its Levi’s brand.

Based in the US, he will step into the role on 31 August. He will report directly to Levi Strauss & Co chief executive, John Anderson.

He was most recently worldwide chief operating officer for Kodak Eastman’s consumer digital group as well as its managing director for global operations.

Prior to that role he was general manager for Latin America and general manager for the Americas and chairman of Eastman Kodak, Europe.

Szulc began his marketing career at Procter & Gamble Brazil and later as a senior marketing leader at SC Johnson Latin America.

This year, the retailer appointed Blake Jorgensen, former Yahoo! chief financial officer into the same role.

Founded in 1853 by Bavarian immigrant Levi Strauss, Levi Strauss & Co. is in more than 110 countries. Its other clothing brands are Dockers and Signature.

In July, the company acquired DC Company, its main footwear and accessories licensee outside the US, in a bid to boost its entire range.
