LG Mobile names UK marketing head

LG Mobile has appointed Jeremy Newing as UK head of marketing. He joins from Benefon, the handset manufacturer that specialises in GSM/GPS devises, where he was chief marketing officer.

Newing, who is also a former regional marketing director for Western Europe for Siemens Mobile, will report to UK sales and marketing director John Barton at LG Mobile. Newing replaces Gary Venn, who left the company in December.

Barton says: “We will be extending our product portfolio significantly this year with our sights firmly set on further growth of our UK market share and Jeremy is key to this.”
