Littlewoods launches Facebook TV

Shop Direct Group is preparing to broadcast its first live interactive TV show via Facebook for its brand as it considers Facebook programming for its other shopping brands, and


The online retailer claims that the initiative, created by dot.talent, is a “retail first”.

It will air an interactive one-hour show, presented by its brand ambassador Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, to showcase his autumn winter collection for

Fans can interact with the show and Llewelyn-Bowen via a live phone-in and instant messaging through the social network. Prizes will also be given out to audiences throughout the show.

The Facebook broadcast will also include four advert breaks, which will feature products from across Littlewoods’ ranges.

“ already has a community of more than 113,000 fans on Facebook. We hope that this will become a way for us to connect regularly with as wide an audience as possible, enabling both existing and new customers to browse and shop with us via a new and exciting platform.”

Littlewoods Live will air on Facebook on Wednesday 13 June at 9pm. It will also be available to watch via from the 15 June.
