Live Nation hires O2’s Skee as marketing boss

Former O2 music sponsorship head Jasmine Skee has joined music events and management giant Live Nation as UK marketing director, replacing Carolyn Sims who recently left to join magazine and book brand Time Out as marketing director.

Skee is credited with masterminding the rebranding of 15 UK music venues, including the O2 Arena, which were run in partnership with her new employer Live Nation as well as the Academy Music Group.

O2 launched a new brand campaign earlier this year to focus marketing away from handsets and tariffs to its other, newer businesses, after recognising these will be the divisions that are more likely to drive revenue growth in the future as consumer mobile habits change.

Before joining O2 three years ago, Skee was part of the marketing team at Sony Ericsson. She has been replaced at the Telefónica-owned brand by Paul Shulver, who has worked for Virgin on the V Festival and other music events, and Annheuser Busch.

Shulver has most recently been working on digital label and online artist marketing projects in Argentina.
