Look launches clothes swap event

Look, the IPC Media-owned magazine, is inviting readers and celebrities to join a fashion-swap next week. X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke and Peaches Geldof are among the celebrities joining retailers including Office, Mango and New Look in donating clothes.

To take part, readers must donate up to ten items each at selected collection points across London this weekend (January 24 and 25), and in return they will receive vouchers which they can use to ‘buy’ items at a Look’s “pop-up” fashion swap boutique in central London the following weekend.

The magazine, which will take over a boutique across the weekend of Saturday January 31 and Sunday February 1, is donating the proceeds of the event to charity Jo’s Trust Fighting Cervical Cancer.

The free event is being promoted in the magazine and online. Look was launched in 2007 to rival Grazia, now part of Bauer Media, in the glossy fashion and celebrity weekly market.
