Lowe quits 10m Eurostar pitch

Lowe has pulled out of the pitch for the £10m Eurostar advertising account to concentrate on the new business it has already won and existing clients.

Eurostar has confirmed that the agency, which was shortlisted earlier this month alongside Mother, Fallon, Beattie McGuinness Bungay, Glue and incumbent TBWA/London, is no longer involved in the pitch.

Eurostar marketing director Greg Nugent says he has no plans to replace the agency and the pitch will proceed with five agencies. The first round of pitches will start on January 25 and a decision is due in the third week of February. The train operator has already appointed start-up Hurrell & Dawson to develop its environmental strategy.

Lowe is still pitching for a vehicle tax evasion brief for the Driver Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and earlier this year won the £13m John Lewis business and £4m recruitment account for the National Health Service.
