Marketing Academy expands senior leadership for ‘next chapter of growth’

The Marketing Academy is adding to its senior leadership team with the appointment of Myriam Coupard as UK and EMEA managing director, as the non-profit pursues expansion into new regions.

Coupard was previously vice-president for partnerships at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Her appointment comes off the back of the academy’s Virtual Campus program launch and what CEO Sherilyn Shackell calls a “successful period of expansion”.

“We’re now ready for our next chapter of growth,” she says. “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Myriam on board and to be working with her to achieve increasingly greater inspirational and transformational programs for our growing community.”

Shackell adds that Coupard “is well versed in the marketing landscape” and a “proven leader”.

The organisation is currently pursuing expansion across the Asia Pacific region for 2023, and is hoping to increase its impact across Europe and the USA.

Coupard says she is “delighted to be guiding a talented team of people and together deliver the next phase of expansion for Europe”.

She adds: “Personal and professional development has long been close to my heart and I built a career believing that media, advertising and marketing when done right, has the absolute power to positively impact the world.”
