The Marketing Academy unveils its 2018 scholars

The Marketing Academy scholarship programme aims to prepare the next generation of marketing leaders for their journey to the top.

The Marketing Academy has revealed the 30 emerging marketing leaders that have made it onto its scholarship programme for 2018.

The 30 marketers went through a three-stage selection process including nominations, pitches and face-to-face interviews to make it into this year’s class. It includes emerging leaders from client-side brands, media owners, agencies and startups.

The programme aims to help the next generation of marketing leaders in their journey to the top. It includes one-to-one mentoring with marketers including Unilever’s Keith Weed, John Lewis customer director Craig Inglis, Amazon’s marketing general manager in EMEA Ed Smith and Airbnb’s marketing director in Europe Caroline Hudack.

In addition, scholars are assigned an executive coach, as well as attending three residential ‘boot camps’ and four lectures hosted by renowned subject matter experts.

Sherilyn Shackell, The Marketing Academy’s founder, says: “I’m delighted that yet again the industry has displayed both the quality of its talent and its commitment to developing the emerging generation of leaders who will shape our future. Our alumni are making an impact the world over due to the incredible companies and people who invest their time and wisdom into our programme. I can’t wait to work with the class of 2018 during what promises to be an amazing year.”

The programme is sponsored by Facebook, ITV, Accenture, PHD, Virgin Atlantic and BT. Marketing Week is a founding partner.
