What will the marketing team of the future look like?

Marketing Week has lined up a stellar panel to explore how marketing teams will look in the future at Marketing Week Live on 8-9 March.

As part of Marketing Week Live, which returns to Olympia Central on 8 and 9 March, Marketing Week will be hosting a lively debate exploring how marketing teams will be structured in years to come.

Marketing Week editor Russell Parsons will be joined by Zoe Harris, group marketing director at Trinity Mirror; Mark Evans, marketing director at Direct Line; Annabel Venner, global brand director at Hiscox; and Emma Woods, group marketing and digital director at Merlin Entertainments.

Together they will discuss the changing approach to team structure and culture, how to get the most from any opportunities while being prepared for challenges, as well as looking at the skills marketers of tomorrow will need to succeed.

They will also debate the need for specialist marketers versus generalists and the role marketing should play internally within businesses and how to ensure it is aligned with all other departments.

You haven’t got the truth “breadth” of marketing represented by the panel. Retail & FMCG are two areas where marketing departments have changed dramatically in the past decade. You’ve even got 2 marketers from the insurance sector, and not one from Banking. Just want to see more diversity of industry, please.
