Marketing Week Mini MBA launches business management course

The new course is designed to help senior marketers cross over into business management. It will be led by Helen Edwards, and  feature renowned professors such as Roger Martin and Alison Fragale.

A new Marketing Week Mini MBA course has been launched to help experienced marketers move into business leadership.

The Mini MBA in Management is the third course in the Mini MBA family, in addition to those in Brand Management and Marketing.

It is designed for experienced marketers who want to make the move into business management, and is designed to better equip them in and for the boardroom.

The course will be led by Helen Edwards, adjunct associate professor of marketing at London Business School, director of brand consultancy Passionbrand and Marketing Week columnist.

The course has ten modules covering all aspects of business management taught by internationally renowned professors and experts in the module topics.

Among the ten tutors are Roger Martin on strategy, Alison Fragale on organisational behaviour and Jay Conger on leadership.

Mark Ritson has taken on the role of architect for the course, curating it to fit the needs of marketers. He also makes cameos throughout the course.

The course is perfect for senior marketers ready to take the next step in their career, according to Ritson.

He adds: “We can give you an incredible array of knowledge on some of the core topics that underpin your leadership journey and make you a better marketer too.”

At the end of the course, participants will be able to participate in a global-business simulation, which is designed to put what has been learned across the modules into practice. This simulation is used by top business schools. It will determine final grades for participants.

The Mini MBA in Brand Management also uses a simulation to determine final grades, many participants report it is their favourite part of the course.

The Mini MBA in Management is a CPD registered course. Participants will be issued with a CPD Certificate of Attendance, which can be used within their formal record for a professional body, institute, or employer.

The course will run each April and September, with the first course beginning on 26 September. There are just 500 places in the cohort, and places are now available to book here.
