MCCA launches 2010 Best Awards

The Marketing Communication Consultants Association (MCCA) is calling for entries for its annual ‘Best Awards’.

Mike Best Awards

The awards aim to encourage marketers not be inhibited by traditional constraints on marketing and to find superior, engaging and sometimes very different ways to communicate with consumers.

The theme “Creativity Uninhibited” has been illustrated with a number of nude photos of agency senior management who have previously won a Best Award.

The campaign is designed to engage and convey the “creatively uninhibited” message. The creative concept was devised by EHS Brann.

The awards are open to all agencies irrespective of whether they are MCCA members. The deadline for entries is October 1st.

The awards will be announced at the ceremony on 4th March 2010. The awards will celebrate ‘The Best’ creative work in marketing across a variety of categories, with this year seeing the addition of the Best Shopper Marketing campaign and Best CRM campaign.

The work will be judged by marketing experts with the client judging panel headed up by Marc Michaels, director of direct and relationship marketing, COI and the creative judging panel chaired by John Treacy, creative director at Elvis Communications.

Scott Knox, Managing Director of the MCCA says: “With creativity under more pressure than ever before there is almost a temptation to dumb down marketing or plump for the safe options. But actually, to generate the most impact and long lasting results, pushing the boundaries of creativity is critical.

“Historically the creative industries have produced their most stand out, engaging and different work during tough economic times. For the Marketing industry I think this pressure has resulted in some great and uninhibited creative work. It’s therefore more important than ever that those innovative agencies who are delivering results, take time to reflect on and celebrate the best creativity. We are looking forward to seeing the range of campaigns that will be entered into this year’s awards”.
