McCann and Bozell lose out in Kimberly global ad review

Kimberly-Clark has completed its global advertising review, initiated following its recent merger with Scott Paper.

J Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather and Foote Cone & Belding retain their places on the Kimberly roster but internationally both McCann-Erickson and the Bozell network lose their grip on the Scott account, worth up to $10m in the US alone.

In the UK, the situation is different. McCann loses the Kleenex account as the Kleenex brand is up for sale following a ruling by the European Commission.

Internationally, JWT picks up all the advertising for consumer tissues products sold under the Scott brand name in addition to the Andrex/Scottex toilet tissue brands across Europe.

FCB will handle advertising for all facial tissue and household towel brands on a pan-European basis.

The realignment does not affect the agencies working on Kimberly’s personal care brands.

These include Ogilvy & Mather which manages Huggies dispos able nappies and Roose & Partners which runs the UK Bodyform sanpro business.
