McDonald’s celebrates “iconic” menu

McDonald’s is launching the latest phase of its brand campaign with an ad that aims to highlight how its products are an “iconic” part of British people’s lives.

The “He’s Happy” ad, created by Leo Burnett, breaks during the X-Factor on Saturday (15 October).

It features a man singing “On the street where you live” from My Fair Lady as he walks to McDonald’s.

Alistair Macrow, vice president of marketing for McDonald’s UK, says: “This ad is the latest in our long-term brand campaign and shows how some of our key menu items have become iconic favourites in communities up and down the UK. It’s back to basics yet upbeat feel perfectly demonstrates how customers have come to rely on McDonald’s for food they enjoy and an experience they can trust.”
