‘Media bias’ figures flawed

We at MediaCom were less than pleased with last week’s table showing media agencies ranked by total billings.

The table indicated that we had billings of &£397m for the year ending September 2000. In fact the true figure was &£468m. This has now risen to &£485m.

The figures also suggested that we were the fourth biggest press agency in the country. In fact we are the biggest buyers of press in the UK (a fact that MMS figures will confirm).

When the agency has worked so hard over the past year to win major pieces of business we would like our growth to be accurately recorded.
