Metro Bank supports service with risk data

Newest arrival into the world of high street banking Metro Bank is supporting its prompt account opening and card issuing proposition through back-end risk management data.

Equifax has been appointed to provide the fraud prevention, anti-money laundering and risk assessment services that are key to banking compliance, but will also enable the bank’s service experience.

“To deliver efficient account opening, Metro Bank needs absolute confidence in our risk management and fraud prevention methods and Equifax offers us precisely that,” said Craig Donaldson, chief executive officer at Metro Bank.

“Our partnership with Equifax is helping Metro Bank to bring a new kind of banking to the high street. We are heralding a return to personal, face-to-face banking, designed to bring customers convenient, secure banking supported by one of the best risk management and anti-fraud solutions on the market,” he added.

The service will see reliable credit risk scores provided to the bank, together with comprehensive indebtedness characteristics and risk assessments. These are essential for the consumer credit and banking licences held by Metro Bank. Equifax is also providing electronic identification and verification solutions to support compliance with anti-money laundering requirements.
