Ash Schofield is the CEO of giffgaff. He joined the leadership team back in 2013 as the Chief Marketing Officer helping to scale the digital 1st challenger brand to become a serious multi award-winning player in the Telecoms market. In 2018 he stepped up to lead the business.

Ash has over 25 years’ experience in the Telco industry having originally cut his teeth in the marketing team that transitioned BT Cellnet into the market leader O2.

Next stop was leading the marketing team at Tesco Mobile where he was instrumental in repositioning the brand, placing it on the industry map while tripling the customer base size over 5 years.

Joining giffgaff in 2013, Ash pioneered a period of change, bringing brand planning and creative in-house, triggering rapid growth of brand and business performance metrics. He transformed the service model to help make giffgaff the industry leader for NPS. He also established goodybags, giffgaff’s flexible version of tariffs, as the benchmark for great value in the market.

As CEO he has orchestrated a period of renewal, setting the business up for sustainable growth. Recently certified as a B Corp, giffgaff has been on a journey to challenge itself to be better and inject new reasons to keep it relevant for the years to come.

Ash is a Fellow of the Marketing Academy and a qualified Executive Coach.
