Microsoft offers sponsorship deals for music show

Microsoft is offering brand sponsorship opportunities on its new online monthly live music show, MSN Xclusives. The show, which launches today (January 14), features live recordings from artists including The Pussycat Dolls and The Saturdays.

MSN is offering brands sponsorship opportunities for each video clip made available on the Xclusives site. Brands will be able to integrate their messaging with the music videos and have banner ads placed on the site.

The service will be made available through the MSN Music Portal, which currently reaches over 1.5 million unique users a month.

Paul Carolan, agency and client sales director at Microsoft Advertising UK, says: “We aim to make MSN Music the best service possible, with the widest selection of original content. Xclusives will enable us to do this and at the same time offer brands the opportunity to get selectively involved in the opportunities available on-site.”

New concerts will be uploaded monthly with different artists singing at least one track exclusively for the site.

Brands will be able to agree deals for product placements in future gigs as well as have their logo featured on photos and boards associated with the concert, which are filmed in secret locations.
