Dessert specialist Müller is seeking a new head of marketing following the loss of Ian Bray.

Bray is leaving to join pharmaceutical wholesaler AAH as marketing director in March.

He was made Müller marketing manager in 1993 and promoted to head of marketing for the £200m brand three years ago.

Bray previously held marketing positions at Bestfoods, KP and SmithKline Beecham.

He says he “needed to gain experience of general management”.

Managing director Ken Wood says: “We’re now looking externally for a top-flight marketer to replace Bray.”

Müller awarded its £10m ad account to Publicis last September after dropping Saatchi & Saatchi in June following a four-year stint. It claimed it wanted to refresh its advertising.

Campaigns created by Saatchi featured Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer; and Joanna Lumley.

Media business is handled by Zenith.

Mller is the market leader in yogurts and the UK’s second largest grocery brand, behind Walker’s Crisps.
