Monsters vs Aliens attracts family brands
Cinema sales house Digital Cinema Media (DCM) has signed up a raft of advertisers for the new Dreamworks family film Monsters vs Aliens, which opens on April 3.
The film is has been shot for both normal release and 3D and Digital Cinema Media has leveraged the new format to attract client interest.
Advertisers booked in include Kellogg’s to promote its Rice Crispies Squares and CoCo Pops while Dr Oetker’s is introducing its new chilled dessert brand for children, called Paula, via cinema ads.
Peugeot is also undertaking a national cinema campaign showcasing the 308SW family car model. Other brands booked in to advertise include Crusha, Aquafresh, Nickelodeon and Butlins.
DCM recently appointed Martin Bowley as managing director. The company was bought from ITV last year via a joint venture between cinema exhibitors Cineworld and Odeon. The company introduced a new branding and idents this year.
