Mumsnet allows brands to use its logo
Social network Mumsnet is to allow brands to use its logo for the first time.
The site, which hosts product reviews and advice posted by mums, is to license the Mumsnet logo to winners of its Best awards 2011.
The Awards have been voted for by users. Winning brands will also command a prominent place on the Review section of the site.
The site makes money from brands seeking advice on new products and advertising.
Mumsnet boasts 30 million monthly page impressions and 1.25 million users. The increasingly influential site hosted web chats with three party leaders in the run-up to last year’s General Election and is currently hosting a discussion with culture minister Ed Vaizey.
