MySpace marketing director Lindsay Nuttall departs

Sophie Rouse has replaced Lindsay Nuttall as MySpace marketing director, after Nuttall left the social network.

Nuttall joined the social network in April 2009 as international marketing director, leading marketing for all non-US markets including the UK. Prior to MySpace Nuttall was head of marketing at the BBC, responsible for BBC2, BBC Four and factual programming.

Former MySpace head of campaigns Sophie Rouse has been promoted to director of marketing in the UK. Rouse was head of marketing at Channel 4 before joining MySpace as content and marketing manager for entertainment.

In June last year, MySpace owner News International announced that it was slashing its workforce to save costs, with 300 jobs going outside the US.

MySpace global CEO Owen Van Natta left the company in February after less than a year, with MySpace executives Mike Jones and James Hirschorn now leading the company as co-presidents.

Myspace declined to comment.
