Naked snatches brief for fashion forecaster

WGSN%20LogoNaked Communications has won a global brand planning and communications brief for, the fashion and design trend forecaster owned by EMAP. It gained the business without a pitch.

The agency will develop a consistent brand positioning for the company and oversee its internal and external communications strategy, as it looks to expand globally.

WGSN was launched in 1998 to offer online research, trend analysis and news to the fashion, design and style markets.

Founders Marc and Julian Worth sold the company to EMAP last year for £140m. The former is now on the board of forthcoming fashion website

Naked managing partner Niku Banaie says the agency will work to help WGSN “achieve better brand consistency” across its global office, and increase subscriptions.

The agency is already on the EMAP roster and has worked on a number of brands, including Kiss, since it won the planning business for EMAP Performance in 2002.
