NBC Universal appoints MPG International to promote theme parks globally

NBC Universal’s theme park division ha appointed MPG International to handle its £3m media planning and buying account.

The entertainment company appointed the intenational divison of the Havas-owned media agency, following a competitive pitch. The incumbent on the account was MediaCom,

NBC Universal have numerous theme parks and resorts across America and Asia, including the famous Universal Studios in Orlando Florida.

MPG International says they were appointed “in recognition of their seamless international resource across the world, exceptional talent, predictive measurement tools, and their proven track record as a valuable media partner delivering global campaigns and local expertise.”

The agency will take on the account immediately to deliver an integrated on and offline campaign across multi-markets for NBC Universal.

The account will be centralised in London with local MPG International offices in various countries dealing with implementation and local buying.

NBC Universal’s London office recently announced two promotions to tie in with the broadcaster’s international expansion.

Laurent Dumeau has been appointed vice president, global affiliate sales and John Burnett becomes vice president, commercial operations and will now control and manage Universal Networks’ continued growth plan including the planning and delivery of new channels and other key commercial projects across all regions.
