JellyBeats dance to Bebo’s tune

Aardman Studios is to launch a new range of characters, called the JellyBeats, on social networking site Bebo.

The characters are a collection of music-loving jellyfish, each one representing a different genre, targeted at 14 to 28 year olds. The first phase of the campaign breaks on March 12 and will consist of 16 different JellyBeats characters. The main focus of the campaign is on the Bebo launch, which features a JellyBeats application called What’s Your Beat? This application allows users to choose their favourite character and feature it on their Bebo profile. There will also be a JellyBeats interactive profile,, with discussion boards, polls, photo gallery and skins. JellyBeats videos will also be uploaded to Bebo video – the site’s new open media platform – via the JellyBeats profile.

Alongside the planned launch on Bebo, the JellyBeats have their own website – This will feature JellyBeats film shorts and free downloads.

The JellyBeats were created by Peter Peake at Aardman Studios and developed with Digital Outlook Studios.
