New campaign – Guinness

Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO has created a new television ad for Guinness as part of its “Good things come to those who wait” campaign.

“Hands”, which breaks on February 12, starts a £2.5m campaign that includes cinema, online and digital outdoor ads in stadiums, pubs and London Underground stations.

The ad will have a dedicated website and, in a first for Guinness, visitors to the site will have the opportunity to direct and customise their own Guinness “Hands” film, which they can send onto friends.

AMV’s ad features a pair of hands waiting for a pint of Guinness and is in black and white. The final scene reveals a perfectly poured pint of Guinness and the hands re-appear to type the line “Good things come to those who wait”.

The campaign runs until the end of March. Media was planned and bought by Carat.
