New campaign – Stop The Traffik

Stop the people trafficking

Traffik%20barcodeStop The Traffik, a worldwide coalition of organisations fighting against people trafficking, is launching a campaign that aims to raise awareness of a petition against the practice.

The outdoor campaign, which breaks today (Wednesday) in London, depicts a barcode made up of the silhouettes of people. It has the strapline: “People shouldn’t be bought and sold”. It also asks people to sign up to the petition, which the group is hoping will collect 1 million signatures.

The execution, which was created by Leagas Delaney, will run on 900 Stagecoach buses and on a prominent poster site overlooking the Hammersmith flyover.

The organisation will present the petition to the UN in February. The charity’s strategy builds on the Human Retail idea developed by Leagas Delaney last year.
