Virgin Health Bank

Virgin%20Health%20BankVirgin Health Bank is launching its new stem cells storage service with a press campaign in parenting magazines that will start this month.

The campaign, which has been created by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, focuses on the benefit of storing stem cells for family use but also for donating them to other people. It is understood that the Virgin Health Bank service is the first to offer a service that will store 20% for private storage and 80% for public use. Previous stem cell storage services have only stored them for private use.

The collection of stem cells has been the subject of much controversy over recent years due to misunderstandings surrounding the different types of stem cells. The key area of concern in the UK has been embryonic stem cells, which have been connected with human cloning. Virgin Health Bank collects cells from umbilical cord blood.
