Reporting to the brand’s ecommerce director Dom McBrien, Davey will be responsible for multi-channel marketing for the fashion brand.

He has moved from B&Q where he was head of online marketing for almost two years.

Before that he was senior manager of e-channel marketing and partnerships at Aviva, where he handled digital marketing across Aviva brands such as Norwich Union Life, RAC and BSM.

The appointment comes before a major overhaul of New Look’s site, planned for this financial year (nma 3 December 2009).

The retailer aims to create a “visually arresting” website to entice its target audience of 16-30-year-old females. It will be the biggest overhaul of the site since it went transactional in December 2007.
