Joe Irons, who has been group marketing director for the past two years, is thought to have joined the Monsoon Accessorize group.

Irons’ departure follows the shock exit of chief marketing officer Nick Cross in May after only six months in the role. He was replaced by New Look marketing director Guy Lister.

Former CEO Carl McPhail also resigned in March following a period of poor performance.

New Look has reported a 5.5% decline in like for like sales for the year to date and a 39.8% fall in underlying profit to £98m.

Tom Singh, New Look’s founder is currently overseeing the business.

Gillian Moore, customer planning and store experience director, who takes responsibility for all New Look’s store design and visual merchandising and communication is the most senior marketer within the business.

It is not known if Irons will be directly replaced.
