The NFL is back in business as it gears up for Super Bowl 2020
America’s favourite sport is gearing up for its Sunday night showcase, even if some brands are refusing to play by the old rules.
Just two years ago the US National Football League (NFL) was in something of a crisis.
Struggling to answer criticism over its handling of the support among high profile players for the Black Lives Matter activist movement, the NFL has also been slammed for its response to former players suffering the devastating effects of long-term head injuries sustained over their careers. Couple with this grumbles about boring games from a spectrum of people, among them US President Donald Trump, and times were not looking great.
However, when the Kansas City Chiefs meet the San Francisco 49ers at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium this Sunday (2 February), all will be forgotten.
