International Distillers & Vintners is launching its first television ad for a high-strength spirit with a campaign for Cockspur rum.

The ads use the Cockspur rooster, which is brought to life as the “cool rooster”. They form part of a 500,000 marketing spend, involving radio and magazine executions, which will break in early September through agency Burkitt Edwards Martin.
