O’Brien leaves BA for Regus
British Airways global head of brand and marketing Jayne O’Brien is leaving the airline to join serviced office space provider Regus Group in the new role of chief marketing officer.
O’Brien, who has worked at BA for more than 17 years in a range of senior marketing and commercial roles, will start in her new role at the beginning of April and will report to chief executive officer Mark Dixon.
O’Brien’s responsibilities will include establishing strong brand recognition and preference in existing and new markets, as well as leading Regus’s overall global marketing strategies.
While at BA, O’Brien led many of the major product innovations that have positioned the airline at the forefront of the aviation sector, including the ClubWorld, flat bed in business class. Her promotion to her current role was part of a reshuffle that saw the departure of global head of marketing Jill McDonald last February.
