Ocean Outdoor appoints interim CEO

Ocean Outdoor has appointed Andrew Oldham as chief executive officer on an interim basis.

Ocean Outdoor

His appointment follows the decision of Ocean outdoor founder Damian Cox to step back from day to day operations.

Previously, Oldham was chief operating officer at CBS Outdoor UK until 2008.

He also acted as a consultant to LOCOG on the management of outdoor advertising for London 2012.

Cox will remain a significant shareholder and will continue to advise the company on its landmark developments.

Commenting on the appointment, Damian Cox says: “Ocean has grown rapidly and expects to continue to do so. With his experience of leading a larger organization, Andrew is ideally placed to lead the next stage of growth. He has a tremendous track record in the outdoor advertising industry and his experience and management skills will be invaluable in helping Ocean in this exciting period.”

Ocean Outdoor launched Two Towers, a £1m double digital ad site, last week.

The company claims that the Two Towers is the UK’s first pair of digital advertising towers. It is located in London, either side of the A4 flyover in Hammersmith, West London.
